Jaxtr, a Menlo Park – California based VoIP startup has laid off 13 employees to take down its employee count to 30. This marks a reduction of around 26%. Jaxtr has raised $10 million in second round of funding from August Capital and three of the early Skype investors - Draper Richards, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Mangrove Capital. According to CEO Konstantin Guericke, who previously co-founded LinkedIn, the funding together with companies current revenue streams would be enough to propel them for the next 18 months. Jaxtr claims to have 10 million users across 220 countries.
